Paving works

The lifetime of paving is decided not by the stone but by what is underneath: a precisely levelled, layer-by-layer compacted base. We start where it does not show — earthworks, kerb foundations, frost-proof build-up — because the surface only stays true over the years if the base does not move.

We pave driveways, walkways, terraces and whole courtyards, with drainage designed in: falls carry rainwater away from the house and garden, not into the garage.

Frequently asked questions

How much does paving cost per m²?

The price depends on the build-up (foot or vehicle traffic), the chosen stone and the site. After a survey we give an itemised per-m² offer — including the base thickness, so offers can be compared honestly.

Why does so much paving settle after a few years?

Almost always because of the base: skipped compaction, thin build-up, missing kerb foundation. That is why we machine-compact every layer and set kerbs in concrete — and back it with a warranty.

Which paving stone should I choose?

Driveways need at least 6 cm thick concrete pavers; terraces can take thinner, premium-finish stones. We help you choose with catalogues and samples.

Can paving be done in winter?

Not in lasting frost — a frozen base cannot be compacted and would settle in spring. In that case we book you in for the frost-free season.
