Why is my wall damp?
Most often it is moisture rising from the ground (missing or aged damp-proofing), but it can also be splashing rainwater, a faulty gutter or a burst pipe. We clarify this first at the survey — without it, any intervention is guesswork.
Can an existing house be waterproofed?
Yes: with retrofit injection, external excavation or interior-side systems — we choose the technology for the situation, and we are honest if something is not worth it.
How long until the walls dry out?
After waterproofing, walls dry out over months depending on thickness — roughly a month per centimetre. Final plastering is best done after drying.
Is renovation plaster alone enough for a damp wall?
No — renovation plaster alone treats the symptom, and the problem returns in a few years. First the path of moisture must be cut off, then comes the plaster.
